"Between July 2017 - January 2018 I was an intern at Thembalitsha. I worked in the marketing department. This time was unforgettable, challenging, engaging and altogether an amazing experience.

My work included a large variety of responsibilities which is what made it so interesting and diverse. In a nutshell, some of the work included, assisting in the creation of social media strategies, creating videos for marketing purposes, assisting in the planning of small events as well as attending them and participating in meetings.

I learnt a variety of skills which ranged from professional communication, presentation skills, creativity, negotiation, critical and analytical thinking, stress management and technology. These are useful skills, that I am going to take forward with me in my next job. I would highly recommend doing an internship at Thembalitsha, as it takes you out your comfort zone, you have an opportunity to give back to our society, meet insightful people and experience working in a non-profit organisation."
